So Monday’s class started off with everyone getting a chance to draw two angry birds, using the pre-drawn shapes. This is kind of a trick I use as a a teacher so I can see not only how well my new students draw, but also how well they follow directions!
Angry Birds are pretty simple to draw and the entire class managed to do an amazing job!!!! They don’t look anything like real birds, but you can still tell they are birds because they have beaks and fancy plumage, a nod to actual birds. Without the beaks and the plumage, they could be just about anything.
Hahaha! I got these Star Wars Angry Birds off the internet.
After drawing the Angry Birds, I gave out a pre-drawn Angry Bird strip to act as a writing prompt. Can you finish the story? Can you use the Angry Birds you’ve just drawn to show what comes next? Can you create new characters for the story?
And that was it! Our first Class! I hope you all post your picture to the Student Gallery so everyone can see your creation!
